PIM

Please Inconvenience Me

You don't need more willpower. You need more inconvenience.

See it in action.

Your phone is designed to be addictive.
PIM gives you a fighting chance to stay in control.

A little resistance goes a long way.

🔒

Restrict Any App

Choose the apps you want to restrict. The free version allows three restricted apps — perfect for beating your absolute worst distractions.

🧮

Tasks as Speed Bumps

PIM puts an inconvenient task between you and your apps. Math, typing, tapping — pick what works for you.

Limited Sessions

Decide how long your sessions should be. When they're over, the inconvenient task (customized by you) helps you stop doomscrolling.

⚠️

Inconvenience, Not Blocking

PIM doesn't lock you out — it makes you do some work. Often that's all you need to stop endless scrolling.

The inconvenience is the point.

No ads. No tracking. No subscriptions.

PIM (Please Inconvenience Me) is designed with privacy in mind. We do not collect, store, or share any personal data.

What data does PIM access?

PIM uses the following Android permissions to function:

  • App Usage Access — to detect when a restricted app is opened. This data never leaves your device.
  • Display Over Other Apps — to show the task on top of restricted apps.
  • Query Installed Apps — to display the list of apps you can restrict.
  • Notifications — to show the persistent foreground service notification required by Android.
  • Boot — to restart the monitoring service when your device reboots.
  • Battery Optimization — to keep the service running reliably in the background.

Does PIM collect any personal data?

No. PIM does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers. All settings and preferences are stored locally on your device only.

Does PIM use analytics or advertising?

No. PIM contains no analytics, advertising SDKs, or third-party tracking of any kind.

Does PIM share data with third parties?

No. PIM does not share any data with third parties because no data is collected in the first place.
